Two Months

My little boy is 2 months old now!

Hunter finally started cooing. The doctor asked me around one month if he was cooing and the only sounds he was making then were grunts, cries, and screams. Now, we can actually get him to smile and talk to us. It's so fun!

Although he was smiling a month ago, it was mostly the "I'm milk drunk" smile while at the breast or in his sleep. These days we can put him in the bouncer on our dining table during dinner and he just watches us eat and we talk to him and make faces and he smiles back. It's so sweet. We are looking forward to when he laughs.

He still sleeps in the bed with us, but sometimes he will take his first stretch of sleep in the bassinet. Also, thank heavens for our hand-me-down Nature's Touch Cradle Swing. Sometimes it does a much better job of rocking Hunter to sleep than Momma and Poppa...

I've got his morning schedule figured out, though everyone tells me just when I figure it out, he's gonna go and change it on me. For now, "bedtime" is around 10 pm when we go to sleep. He'll get up around 2:00 or 2:30 to eat and then again around 5:00 to eat again. He'll sleep until 6:30 or 7:00 and then he's wide awake for an hour or so. Then mommy and Hunter take a morning nap from around 8:00 to 9:00 or 9:30. How we LOVE that morning nap!

Next, he'll stay awake for a couple of hours and we take a bath and he gets a little massage. Then, he goes down for another nap around 11:00. As for the afternoon, we're all over the place right now ;)

I'm cherishing these times because they are fleeting...

By the way, this outfit barely fits him, but I just had to put it on him. I found it in an old box of doll clothes from when I was a child. It's not actually doll clothing, but I'm not really sure where it came from. Last month his outfit was a newborn size Feltman Brothers from his great aunt.
