Summertime in Montana

This summer we took my third trip to Montana to see friends and family. Isaiah's best friend from high school lives there with his family, and they were so gracious to host us again. We hadn't seen these friends in five years, and during these five years, they added one new member to their family and we added two! It was a boisterous reunion, for sure, but it was also (dare I say it?) relaxing and quiet. We made some excursions to Triangle Pond for swimming and Ross Creek Cedars for a walk, but mostly we hung around their gorgeous property and watched the children chase ducks and chickens. We drank lots of huckleberry shakes, picked thimble berries, and ate elk meat. Hunter had his first s'more and fell in love with a horse named Stormy. Hunter and Paloma also got to meet their other grandparents! Until next time, Montana!

    1. Yes, it is! If you ever have a chance to visit, you should go to Glacier National Park. Next on my list is Yellowstone!
