Six Months

I am over 2 weeks late with this post! Maybe his 7-months post will be a little more timely. Anyway, I've made up for it with extra photos.

This month Hunter began cutting his two bottom front teeth, and by the 6-months mark, he had a full-on toothy grin. Also, he continues to suck his fingers and toes. And the raspberries that took a hiatus at the end of last month? Well, they came back. Instead of them being a fun new sound for him to make or his silly way of "conversing" with us, now they tend to communicate crankiness or boredom or frustration or Iwannagotosleepnow! (In the top photo collage, in the bottom right photo, he's blowing raspberries in a way that says, "Are you done taking my picture yet?")

For a week or so, I noticed him doing what seemed like a fake cough. I thought it was fake because there was no apparent reason for it and he would cough several times in a row along with an almost smile. I've read two theories behind this behavior: that it's part of pre-verbal development or a teething cough (dealing with excessive drool in his mouth).

Oh yeah, and Hunter is officially mobile. He's perfected the army crawl from the previous month. Yikes! Time to do some baby-proofing...
