Three Months

Last month, Hunter's favorite toy was the ceiling fan. This month he found his hands, so they are "hands down" (I just had to) his favorite toy! He's not really grabbing at any baby toys yet, just grabbing his own hands. They seriously keep him entertained for like a half hour.

And though he won't really take hold of a rattle, he loves listening to them (and has since he was a couple weeks old). He also won't take a pacifier, but that's a whole other story...

We actually had very few baby toys for Hunter up until a few weeks ago. He has some stacking cups and rings and things like that that he's not ready for yet, so they are still put away in the closet. Recently, however, some friends gave him a set of soft blocks (pictured above) that he stares at during tummy time and when we dangle them in front of him so he'll smile for the camera (FAIL). I also scored a new (just out of the box) Freddie the Firefly mobile on craigslist. OMG. Hunter LOVES watching that critter move, and we love watching him watch Freddie ;) AND the music is not at all offensive to the ear.

His schedule is still pretty similar to last month's and he is still "talking" up a storm. Gurgles, "wees," squeals, and almost-laughs.

Oh yeah, and Hunter sleeps in his bassinet now! Yay! Just in time for him to outgrow it!

  3. seriously 3 months??? what!!! he's adorable. wesley was never interested in a pacifier...but, watching my friends 1 year old go through getting rid of it...i'm kind of glad!
wesley STILL loves his hands. when i wake him up i let him lay in the crib for a bit while i get his bottle and coffee and stuff...whenever i walk by or come back he's always holding them up in the air and staring at them, haha :)
