Four Months

I may have gone a little overboard with Hunter's 4-months photo shoot... but that's part of my job as a mommy, right?

This month Hunter continued to be super curious. He prefers to sit on our laps or hang over our shoulders and watch the world rather than cuddle (boo).

At 16 weeks he started bringing toys to his mouth (like teething rings) and can grip them for much longer (last month they fell out of his hands pretty quickly).

He is not so crazy about Freddie the Firefly anymore, but has a blast on his activity gym/mat.

We took him out of his bassinet and put him back in our bed in the Snuggle Nest with a wedge to put him at a slight incline because our little bugaboo developed pesky reflux (he spit up before, but it got worse this month). In addition to cutting out dairy a few months ago, this month I cut out gluten to help his tummy.

His schedule is ALL OVER THE PLACE now because I need to feed him smaller meals to help with the reflux, which means he wants to eat more often (usually every two hours during the day). Some days he naps well and other days not at all. He has one long stretch of sleep from about 8pm to midnight and then he's up every two hours until morning.

Getting him to fall asleep at night was a challenge until we implemented a routine: quick bath, quick massage, diaper and pajamas, bedtime story (Daddy reads in English), bedtime song (Mommy sings in Spanish), and finally a walk in the stroller around the neighborhood.

Overall, Hunter is such a joy. He's a very happy, playful baby, and we are blessed!

  1. Thanks for all the pictures. It's one of my joys to see him as often as I can and when I can't, seeing his pictures always brings a smile to my face. We are blessed.
