I think it's a genius idea -- especially when going on the kind of diet we have (I say "we" but I've been quite lax the past three weeks!). We were hiking to a cheaper grocer every week and walking back with about 50-60 pounds of veg split between us -- I really detested that Saturday morning ritual.
I hope you are feeling great and things are going well for you!
xoxox,
LarAsianCajuns (Lar)http://www.asiancajuns.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878125636844884536.post-27514928580734044102012-04-12T02:19:19.994-07:002012-04-12T02:19:19.994-07:00I love farmer's markets! I am more than happy to pay more for organic and local produce, but it's not always clear here... plus I am a bit lazy too ;-)Elisa @ Crazy, Amazing Lifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02886112221446685560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878125636844884536.post-3138334545701289782012-04-11T00:42:59.866-07:002012-04-11T00:42:59.866-07:00ohhh i so wish we had good looking vegetables like...ohhh i so wish we had good looking vegetables like this in norway! im lucky if things are not brown and rotten!!! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878125636844884536.post-80820814720532596872012-04-10T06:07:41.170-07:002012-04-10T06:07:41.170-07:00With this service you can choose a preset box (wit...With this service you can choose a preset box (with no flexibility, as far as swapping things out goes) or design your own box, which is what I do. I imagine the boxes at Hillcrest market, however, are probably a much better deal than delivery service. Maybe I'll make more of an effort this summer when school lets out. (Let me know which farmer you used!) And yes, I make sure I use every last morsel of the produce we get!Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03053020814428192067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7878125636844884536.post-21294775790600426522012-04-10T01:43:40.816-07:002012-04-10T01:43:40.816-07:00I loved my CSA in San Diego and totally miss purpl...I loved my CSA in San Diego and totally miss purple carrots! I would pick up a big box every other week at the Hillcrest Market and the only advantage to picking it up in person (which seems almost like the same benefit as your service) is you could exchange 1 or 2 items for something else you saw at their stand. Those boxes definitely encourage healthy eating - can't let a box full of produce go to waste.chicksterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08857334716479059167noreply@blogger.com
